HOW MUCH CAN I SAVE AND HELP THE PLANET?
So much The economic amount saved on your electricity bill, as well as the CO2 that you avoid emitting into the atmosphere, will depend on three factors:
1. The power installed in your Tornasol Kit, 300, 600 or 1200W.
2. The orientation and location of your Tornasol Kit
3. The usual electricity consumption of your home
In the Practical Case that you can download on our page, the result is analyzed after having a 600W Tornasol Kit in the city of Valencia, facing south and with an inclination of 90º with respect to the horizon, for a full year. We see as a result that the estimated economic savings are greater than 350 euros per year and that around 400 kg of CO2 are avoided being emitted into the atmosphere.
So that you can make an estimated calculation of your savings, we put at your disposal the European Commission calculator where you can find out the total energy in KWH that your Tornasol Kit will be able to generate based on its location, inclination and orientation. Once you have your annual KWH, you must apply the cost per KWH of your electricity bill and the corresponding taxes. Finally, the KG of CO2 that you will be able to avoid emitting are obtained by applying a conversion factor to the resulting energy. In our practical case the following values have been applied:
1. KWH cost: €0.30468125 (November 2021)
2. Added taxes: 5.1127%
3. KWH/KG CO2 conversion factor: 0.385
WHERE SHOULD I HANG MY TORNASOL KIT?
The location and orientation of your Tornasol Kit is important when optimizing its performance. We recommend taking into account the following indications:
1. The closer your orientation is to the South, the greater the performance.
2. An inclination of 90º with respect to the horizon is sufficient to generate the necessary energy. However, inclinations of 30º in summer and 60º in winter will increase the performance of your Tornasol Kit.
3. Try to avoid shadows that reduce the performance of your panels.

CAN I CHARGE BATTERIES WITH MY KIT?
Yes, our kits can be used to charge batteries, but for these batteries to power your appliances they will have to be directly connected to them. If you want to feed the energy into the home network, you will require an electrician. We are working to incorporate them into our catalog
